Spiral Triscele Bronze Pendant with Red Enamel Centre
The triscele is thought to represent the three realms of Celtic belief: the past, the present and the future. Christianity later appropriated it as representing the Holy Trinity. The Celtic spiral design is ancient and can be traced back 7000 years. Clockwise and anticlockwise spirals represent the inner and outer evolution of the spirit respectively. In relation to the seasonal calendar these relate to the winter and summer, the year being polarised into light and dark seasons. In Celtic belief this translates to the theme in which one always moves from the darkness into the light. The pendant is 38mm wide and sold on an 18" gold plated snake chain. The central enamel is 11mm wide. Sold in a luxury St.Justin gift box.
